Banada Abbey Hall Teenage Discos

Teenage Discos

All our teenage discos and events are fully supervised by both Banada Abbey Hall development and licensed male and female security personnel. We run a strict zero-tolerance no alcohol and drug policy, and have a first aid person on site at every event. We provide a fun, yet safe, environment for all our teenage patrons.

Our main objective is to provide a fun, yet safe, environment for all our teenage patrons. And in doing so, also ensure a premium nightclub experience with professional entertainment, top class DJs, superior quality sound and amazing lasers and lighting.

We are very conscious of the fact that all our patrons are minors, and so along with our strict security and safety policies, we also endeavour to keep our ticket prices as realistic and affordable as possible. The discos are run in conjunction with Tourlestrane GAA. The funds raised are used to cover the running costs of the hall and to aid developments of the hall.

Security & Safety

Each and every disco event is overseen and managed our team of volunteers and hired security staff.
We use fully licensed and trained security personnel, both male and female, throughout the venue and outside before and after each event
There are also a number of stewards in attendance, as well as a qualified first aider on site for the duration of the event.
The queue into the disco is fully supervised and patrons enter the disco in a safe and orderly manner.
There is a medical room available to deal with any emergencies.

Policies & Procedures
  • The management reserved the right to refuse entry unless patrons are appropriately dressed
  • All our teenage events are run with a strict no alcohol or drugs policy.
  • Each patron and their belongings are searched upon entry to the event by licensed and trained security personnel.
  • Any patron suspected to be under the influence, or in possession of, alcohol and/or drugs is firstly examined by the attending medic.
  • His or her parents/guardians are immediately contacted and advised of the situation, and requested to collect their child from the venue.
  • Any patron seen fighting by security staff will be taken from the disco and brought out to the medical room. Their parents/guardians will be contacted.
  • Patrons will not be left unattended in the medical room
  • The medial room is staff with male and female staff and a trained first aid person
